About The Fireballs In Space

This article is all about the fireballs in space. In this article well will let you know how fireballs in space are created and the threats faced by earth from this fireballs.

Fireballs are generally made up of comets that are in the universe. Now what are comets? Comets are the rocks that move in the space and there are billions of comets that move in unknown orbits in the space. Once a comet comes under earth's gravitational force then the comets gets attracted towards earth and comes towards earth with a speed 100 times faster than a bullet. The comet in the mean while is surrounded by fire as a result of speed it gained in its travel and strikes the earth with huge amount of force and the Comet which is surrounded by fire is called as Fireball.

In 1994 astronomers witnessed a fireball hitting the Jupiter. The comet broke up into 20 pieces and hit Jupiter causing a strong blast. Recent studies proved that a comet named aroes may collide the earth at some point of time , and this time the comet is not small its huge and its diameter is about 1 mile which means the impact will be very high.

Astronomers say that we have technology to change the orbit of the comet so that it does not collide the earth. This mission is already started and hope this would go fine.
